Green Flag Award

Eco Schools

Calderside Eco Solutions is a committee that has been in existence for a number of years.

It is made up of teaching staff, pupils, janitorial staff and our Campus Police Officer. The main aim of this group has been to make a real environmental difference in terms of the school campus and the surrounding local community. Litter reduction has been a real focus and we have been supported in our endeavours, in all areas, by partner agencies including Community Links and SLC Environmental Services. Our efforts have been recognised formally by Eco-Schools Scotland in the form of Green Flag awards. We were awarded our first Green flag in 2014 and this was followed up by another one in 2017.
