It is on Thursday 18th September, 4.30–6.30pm. This is always one of the most popular events in our calendar and places fill up quickly - it's your chance to explore the school, meet staff, and get a flavour of what makes Calderside such a vibrant and welcoming community. To make sure you don't miss out, please book your spot by Friday 12th September (details are on the attached poster). Each child can bring along up to two adults, so be quick to secure your place.

• Monday 4 November 2024 Poppy Scotland Calderside Academy is proud to announce that Chloe McIntosh, one of our dedicated and outstanding pupils, played a significant role in the official launch of the Poppyscotland Appeal 2024 at the Scottish Parliament on 30th October. Chloe’s presentation highlighted the importance of remembrance and community support for veterans and those serving in the Armed Forces.

• Tuesday 30 January 2024 Save our World App Calderside Acadamy are partnering with local schools to launch the Save our World app. the app helps pupils and staff to consider sustainibilty and the impact that we can all have to make the world a better place. We will be competing against schools to see who can have the biggest impact. This can be from walking to school or having a meat free day.
• Thursday 18 January 2024 Transport Consultation The consultation on the proposal to alter the distance that a mainstream secondary school pupil must live from their catchment school in order to qualify for free school transport from more than 2 miles to more than 3 milesis now open and runs until 1 March 2024.

• Tuesday 9 January 2024 Transport Consultation Statutory Consultation Proposal: to alter the qualifying distance for free secondary school mainstream transport to those living over 3 miles from their catchment secondary school. (current entitlement is more than 2 miles).
