St Andrews Hospice 6k

At Calderside Academy, we take our commitment to the community and charitable causes seriously. Our recent endeavor brought together senior pupils and staff for a 6K run around Strathclyde Park, all in support of St. Andrew's Hospice.

A Run with a Purpose:

Our students and staff were ready for the challenge as they tackled the scenic 6K route through Strathclyde Park. Fortunately, the weather cooperated, and the rain held off until the very end of the run.

Unity Across Lanarkshire:

This event was a true collaboration, with over 1800 pupils and staff from schools across Lanarkshire participating. It was heartening to see so many individuals come together for a common cause.

Funds for a Worthy Cause:

More than just a run, this event was a fundraiser to support St. Andrew's Hospice in their mission to provide palliative care for individuals with life-limiting illnesses. The funds raised will make a real difference in the lives of those in need.

Thank You for Your Support:

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated, donated, or supported this event in any way. Your contributions, whether through your time, energy, or resources, are deeply appreciated.

At Calderside Academy, we strive to nurture well-rounded individuals who are not only academically accomplished but also socially conscious. This event exemplified our dedication to these values as we rallied as a school community and joined forces with the wider Lanarkshire community to support St. Andrew's Hospice.

Reflecting on the 6K run at Strathclyde Park, we take pride in our students, staff, and the strong community spirit that defines Calderside Academy. This event underscores our belief that when we come together for a cause, we can effect positive change in the world around us.

Stay tuned for more community-focused initiatives from Calderside Academy, as we continue to make a difference through our actions and commitment to our local community.
