End of Term Letter
Dear Parent/Carer
We have reached the end of another eventful session at Calderside Academy. Each year I look forward and think that we won’t have another year like that one again. To be fair the past few have not all been the same but have certainly challenged us as a school staff and you as parents/carers, and most importantly the pupils in many ways.
This session we have started to add more to our recovery plan and look to move the school forward again next session. Upon our return on 17 August, we aim to further strengthen our ethos and create a sense of community within the school which will mean that all pupils must wear school uniform (information relating to this is attached). Information has already been shared with our S5/6 parents. We will have an increased focus on attendance, further developments in learning and teaching pedagogy and work on promoting positive relationships across the school. In addition we will continue our work on reducing the Cost of the School Day.
Before we embark on the next stage of our recovery and development journey, we will all have a well earned summer break.
I wish you and your family a safe and relaxing summer.
