Additional bank holiday – Monday 15th June 2026

Please be advised that South Lanarkshire Council has confirmed an additional bank holiday will be observed on Monday 15th June 2026.

This holiday has been scheduled to recognise and celebrate the Scotland Men’s International Football team making their return to the World Cup after a 28-year absence.

Important Information

• Closure Date: Monday 15th June 2026.

• Scope: All schools and Council services will be closed on this day.

• Resumption: Normal school hours will resume for all pupils on Tuesday 16th June 2026.

• Parents and carers are kindly asked to make the necessary childcare arrangements in advance of this scheduled closure.
