BGE Progression Pathways & Course Overviews

Our Progression Roadmaps and Course Overviews are designed to help pupils and their families understand the progress being made throughout the Broad General Education (BGE), and how this supports a strong foundation for the Senior Phase and National Qualifications.

During S1 to S3, your child builds key skills and understanding through CfE levels that connect closely to what they will need for future success. Through a range of classroom activities, projects and regular feedback, we get to know your child as a learner, recognising their strengths and supporting any areas where they may need a little extra help.

Throughout S1 to S3, this progress helps your child grow in confidence and strengthen their understanding, ensuring they are well prepared with the knowledge and skills needed to move successfully into the Senior Phase.
